Expressive Waters: Mixed Media Watercolor Exploration

In this mixed media watercolor class, you’ll explore creative ways to combine watercolor with other materials such as ink, colored pencils, watercolor pencils, and markers.

​

The class is divided into two parts. In the first portion, new students will be introduced to watercolor through the creation of a personal color chart and hands-on practice with essential techniques designed to build confidence and add texture. Returning students will focus on refining and practicing techniques to deepen skill and comfort with the medium.

​

In the second part of class, you’ll apply what you’ve learned by creating a finished watercolor painting that incorporates ink and colored pencils, bringing multiple materials together in a cohesive and expressive way.

After completing your first painting, when time allows, you’ll be invited to continue exploring imagery of your choice, with individualized guidance and supportive feedback to help you grow creatively and develop your own artistic voice.

 

* Venmo, Checks, Cash are accepted. Students are asked to pay for their classes at the beginning of each month/session for the classes they plan to attend. This helps with lesson planning, materials, and maintaining an ideal class size. No refunds are available for absences/no-show unless at least 6 hour notice is given, in which case the class will be credited toward a future session.
