Realism Drawing for Youth

This ongoing drawing class for youth provides an evolving learning experience, combining foundational and intermediate techniques with professional guidance for each project. Students will study the 7 Core Elements of Design—Line, Shape, Form, Value, Space, Texture, and Color.

​

Building on this foundation, students will deepen their understanding of perspective, proportions, and composition while exploring light, contrast, shading, texture, fine details, and techniques for achieving realism in their drawings. They will also develop their ability to translate what they see onto paper, integrating intuition and emotions with technical skills.

Each session introduces new challenges, encouraging creativity and confidence as students grow as artists.

​

All supplies are provided. A 9x12 spiral-bound sketchbook is requested for practice and optional homework to reinforce skills and support continued growth.

 

* Venmo, Checks, Cash are accepted. Students are asked to pay for their classes at the beginning of each month for the sessions they plan to attend. This helps with lesson planning, materials, and maintaining an ideal class size. No refunds are available for absences/no-show unless at least 6 hour notice is given, in which case the class will be credited toward a future session.
